(UMCOR) - This arm of the United Methodist Church helps relieve human suffering in the name of Jesus Christ in virtually every country around the world. - Every dollar amount that goes to UMCOR goes directly to the area of mission which it was designated. - Specific ministries which we sponsor within UMCOR include: Haiti hot lunch program.

Northern Lights Ministry
This nondenominational ministry of Kate and Peter Walugembe in Budumbuli, Uganda provides health, education, and spiritual support to children who have lost their parents due to AIDS and other tragedies. - This mission was founded in 2004 by Kate Walugembe, a native of Machinaw City and member of Church of the Straits.
Samaritan's Purse, Operation Christmas Child
Preceding every Christmas we collect shoeboxes filled with gift items for a boy or girl in an undeveloped nation distributed by Samritan's Purse, a nondenominational evangelical organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world.
